Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Flowers  http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/

Hi Readers,

Today is my 65th birthday!  I am now an official senior citizen!  Before I go out to celebrate with my family, I wanted to post this clean and simple (CAS) card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Flowers.

To get an A2 size card, I cut the pink cardstock to 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, then folded it in half.  The fold is at the top.  A stamp from the *Hero Arts CL383, some call Antique Flowers and Butterflies stamps, was used to stamp the dogwood image on a piece of 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ white cardstock.  I colored the stamp with Tombow Dual Brush Pens, blew a huff of moist air on the stamp and transferred the image to the cardstock.  After that, I used the markers to fill in the flowers and leaves.  The matching die was handy to cut out the image.  The white cardstock was trimmed with a Martha Stewart Punch-Around-the-Page.  The white cardstock was adhered to the card base with Scrapbook Adhesives E-Z Runner Tape.  Also I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 5 1/4″ X 4″ to attach to the inside of the card where a sentiment can be added.  That’s it!  Clean and simple.

I hope you enjoy this card today.  Pretty flowers, pretty pastel colors for a day in May.  The sun is shining, but it turned cool last night here in northwest Georgia.  It got down to 46 degrees, but the high today is 68 degrees, so that’s almost perfect.

Now it’s time to get ready to go to my birthday dinner.  Will be back soon.  If you need help locating any of these items, just leave a comment and I will direct you to where to find them.  Let me know if you like this post.

Bye-bye,

Tricia Ann

*I’ve had this stamp and die set for a few years and cannot find them on Hero Arts website now, so they must be discontinued.
