Distress Watercoloring on Heat Embossing

for Jan medium size

Hello,

I made this card for my husband who is a wonderful father and grandfather.  He will drop everything for our daughter and granddaughter.  They come first for him, after God and me, of course.  🙂

Trim heavy Neenah Desert Storm cardstock to make an 8.5 x 5.5 inch card base.  Fold this in half to have a 5.5 X 4.25 inch card.
Stamp Hero Arts Map Background Stamp in VersaMark Ink onto Watercolor Cardstock and heat emboss with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder.
Pat Tim Holtz Distress Ink on craft sheet separate from one another and spritz with a little water.  Use a round #8 paintbrush to paint desired sections in different colors.  I used no rhyme or reason here.
-antique linen
-spun sugar
-milled lavender
-evergreen bough
Cut sentiment on a Cricut Machine using Phrases Cartridge.
Cover sentiment with VersaMark Ink, sprinkle with Simon Says Stamp Rose Gold Embossing Powder and heat emboss.
Die cut Memory Box Airplane Adventures Craft Die; cover in Ranger’s Platinum Stickles.  Let this dry.  Use Liquitex Matte Gel Medium to adhere sentiment and airplane to card front.  Cover sentiment and airplane with Glossy Accents.  Allow to dry.
Adhere 3 Doodlebug Lily White Glitter Sprinkles to card front.

      Hi Gail,
Thank you for giving me this information. I didn’t know we could enter 10 creations. I thought it was still 5 cards even though it went to every 2 weeks.
I would like for you to come back to my blog and read the article I wrote today, entitled My Dad. It has a link in it and I wish you will follow it. It is a precious story you will enjoy. Let me know what you think.
      Love and prayers,
      Tricia Ann

This is really a wonderful card and seems a fitting tribute to a wonderful man! I really like the subtle background you created, yet it’s still filled with such amazing color-blending. I also like how you made the sentiment stand out, but also still blend. It’s a really gorgeous piece and I’m so glad you took the time to share your talents with us for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

Love how this turned out, Tricia Ann! The colors are so soft, and show off the embossing so nicely! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
