Sunday Sample: Jingle Jangle Tag

Hello Friends,

Today I have a Christmas Tag for you that I designed as a member of the Strawberry Jude Stamps design team.  It was a challenge to make, but fun, and gave me much satisfaction after I achieved what I had envisioned.

For this tag I used Strawberry Jude Stamps Tag It: Christmas.  #StrawberryJudeStampsTagItChristmas .

Using a die or whatever you have, cut out four 3 inch circles.  Save two circles to glue onto the back of the tag.  Using a Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink Pad and a mini-blending tool, blend ink on two circles, leaving a lighter portion near the top right.  Stamp Jingle Bells with VersaFine sticky embossing ink and sprinkle it with Ranger Silver Embossing Powder.  Shake off the excess and heat emboss the sentiment with a heat gun.  Do the same with the other circle, using the words To and From.  After this, using something curved to trace, draw a curved cross shape with a permanent thin marker at the bottom of both circles.  Add dots to the ends of the lines.  Use the VersaFine sticky embossing pad again to swipe around the edges of the circles.  Sprinkle Recollections Clear Gold Embossing Powder on this.  Shake off the excess and heat set it.

Trace two small ovals.  Blend the Antique Linen ink on them.  Punch holes in one end of both.  Glue these tabs to the backs of the circles, with the holes sticking up over the tops to be used to hold the ribbon.  Now glue the bells together.  Line up the holes on the tabs, one on top of the other, and overlap the circles as shown above.  Glue the circles together in this position.

To hide where the tabs were glued at the back of the tag, glue the two saved circles to the back of your jingle bells.  Optional:  you could blend the Antique Linen ink over the circles before you glue them to the back of your tag if you want.

I put a pine bough at the top of my bells.  I die cut it using a Cuttlebug and a die from Spell Binders Fall Foliage Die Set.  A Tim Holtz Pine Needle Distress Ink Pad was used to blend on the ink with a mini-blending tool.  This was glued to the top of the jingle bells under the tab sticking up.  A red velvet ribbon was threaded through the hole of the tab.

I really like the way this tag turned out.  I hope you do, too.  The LIKE BUTTON is at the bottom of this post.  Feel free to LEAVE A COMMENT, located at the top of the page under the title

I have three more tags to show you at the bottom of the page.  These are from the same stamp set.  If you have any questions about them, just leave a comment and I’ll get back with you.  Thanks for stopping by.  I appreciate your visit.  🙂
