Simon Says Stamp Designer Spotlight, Anything Goes

Hi Stamping Peeps,

Here we are between Christmas and New Year’s.  Lots of fun activities have been going on, and there is more fun to come as the kids here are out of school until January 3rd.  Amidst the holiday flair, Kassidy found time to make one more card for you to finish her place in the Designer’s Spotlight in December at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  It has been a privilege and honor for our granddaughter, her parents, and us.  We want to thank the Design Team at SSS Wednesday Challenge for the invitation.  What a thrill!

This week at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, the theme is Anything Goes.  Lindy’s Stamp Gang is being showcased.  You don’t have to use them for the challenge, but if you have them, we would love to see them used.

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store!  All you need to do is enter your newly made card into the Wednesday Challenge.  Your name could be drawn as the winner!

Lindy’s Stamp Gang has many beautiful colors to mingle, but Kassidy only had one color to use.  So she decided to die cut balloons and spray the color on them.  It is called TIBETAN POPPY TEAL Starburst Spray, and it is a gorgeous, shimmery color.

ASSEMBLING THE FRONT PANEL

  1. Trim water colored front panel to 6 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches.
  2. Adhere the letters HAPPY to the balloons with Tombow Mono Dot Permanent Adhesive.
  3. Use the Tombow Adhesive to adhere the dog.
  4. DMC Metallic LIGHT SILVER Embroidery Thread – This thread ravels, so it needs to be rolled in liquid glue and laid on a craft sheet to dry before adhering it to the card.

  1. Adhere the word BIRTHDAY with the same liquid glue.
  2. Go around the edges of the front panel with Wplus9 Design Studio Ink Pad, Lake House, using a sponge dauber.

Great Job Kassidy!! It has been a pleasure admiring your creations 🙂 I love your use of shimmer and how you photograph each one! The bells & ribbon on the deer card are my favorite I think. Some great, creative ideas ~ thanks for sharing 😉
