Spring Cleaning Week

Hello Everyone,

How are you today?  I’m doing well.  This past week I completed The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.  I completed my blog post for this challenge, adding the rest of the photos for the projects I made.  Please have a look at my 30 days of work by clicking on the photo,  and thanks for stopping by.

To begin this week, I have my planner made out for to do spring cleaning.  So far today, all I’ve done is stamp and work on the computer.  I hope I can meet my goals.  I’d rather be stamping!!  Here’s what I have to do this week.  It’s THE BOMB!

It takes me two day to complete a planner spread with this much detail.  That’s with having other things to do during the day besides sitting on my bootie having fun.

The chick stamp set is from Lawn Fawn and is called Chirpy, Chirp, Chirp.  I just love it.  It is the cutest.  https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Lawn-Fawn-CHIRPY-CHIRP-CHIRP-Clear-Stamps-LF1046-01LF1046?currency=USD

The planner stamp words and icons are from Strawberry Jude Stamps https://www.strawberryjudestamps.com/don-t-forget-planner-sets

This week I didn’t use washi tape to add decorative strips to my pages.  I didn’t have any that matched what I was planning to do.  So I cut out strips of paper from a leftover piece I’ve had in my stash for years.  The lime green strips are white paper covered with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink in Peeled Paint.  I also used the same inks to stamps a few images in Worn Lipstick, Broken China, Fossilized Amber and Wilted Violet.  I think these are now my favorite inks.  They stamp so well, plus can be used for many other techniques.   https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/RESERVE-Tim-Holtz-Distress-OXIDE-INK-PAD-SET-OF-12-Ranger-RANGER97-Ranger97?currency=USD     I colored in most of the images with Prismacolor Colored Pencils.  They are so smooth.  I find that my box of 24 pencils covers the spectrum of what I need.  I had the box of 12, but there weren’t enough color choices for me.   https://www.amazon.com/Prismacolor-Premier-Colored-Pencils-24-Count/dp/B00006IEEU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1491249962&sr=8-2&keywords=prismacolor+premier+colored+pencils+soft+core+24-count     My planner is a BIG Happy Planner with pages that are 8 1/2″ x 11″.  I love this size because I can decorate it AND write my TO DO lists and habit trackers.  It has thick pages too, which are necessary so the ink doesn’t go through the paper.   The Happy Planner  https://shop.meandmybigideas.com/collections/the-big-happy-planner-collection/products/2017-2018-big-happy-planner-live-loud  I bought my planner at Michael’s with a 40% off coupon.  The regular cost is $29.99.  Sometimes Michael’s has 50% and 60% off coupons.  The stickers I used are also from Michael’s in the planner section.

I hope this inspires you to write down what you need to do this week.  Don’t let all the details I included in my planner scare you off.  You can make a very simple planner with your lists done in pen or pencil and that’s it.  The main thing that helps me so much are the check lists.  It may sound silly to you, but I enjoy coloring in the ovals or checking them off at the end of the day or as I go.  This encourages me to complete a task.  This goes for the habit trackers as well.

Happy Stamping and Coloring,

Tricia
