Autumn Watercolor

Hey Stampers,

Fourteen-year-old Kassidy is back with an autumn watercolor.  It’s fun to see what she comes up with.  Right now, Kassidy seems to be a minimalist in her artwork.  She gets to a point where she likes what she’s done, and she stops.  I should learn from her.  Most of the time, I do too much.

  • 140# Strathmore watercolor paper cut to 8.5 x 11 inches
  • Serendipity Stamps Horn of Plenty
  • Northwood Stamps, maple leaf on wood block
  • Archival Dye Ink Pad, Coffee

Re-stamp by going off the original lines a little.

  • Ranger Craft Sheet
  • Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor Set
  • two round paint brushes
  • cup of water for wetting watercolors
  • cup of water for rinsing brushes
  • rag

Kassidy looks so much like her mother here, our daughter.                                                   Dry the painting with a heat gun or let it air dry.    IMG_1010

Go over the leaves and horn of plenty with Perfect Pearls.

  • Perfect Bronze
  • brush

Oops!  There’s no photo of the last step.  Snap!  That would have been a good instructional one.  Kassidy took a last stamp with handwriting on it and stamped it here and there on her painting.  She had to squeeze the stamp together in order to get small portions of the writing.  She did not use an acrylic block.

  • Stampers Anonymous Studio 490 Wendy Vechi Background Stamp, Script
  • Versafine Black Ink Pad

Kassidy had a good idea for this.  She wants to copy it to size on a printer, laminate it and make a planner divider page in her Happy Planner.

Thank you for taking a peek.  Come back real soon.  🙂

Gorgeous artwork Kassidy! I love the colours and autumnal scene, the shimmer of the perfect pearls is so pretty too. I would frame this after you have copied it for your planner, it is very beautiful 🙂
