A Touch of Blue

I’m back!

I used the same stamp set here as I used in my last posting.  It was a free gift from Simon Says Stamp.  I’m a valuable customer <haha>, so they give people like us free items from time to time.  This helps them clear out their stock of retired items and gives the customer a perk, too.  So this stamp set is no longer offered, but you can use any stamps you want on this card.  It doesn’t even have to be a Christmas card.

Tree Green 1 Watermarked(2017-10-10-2014)

Card Base

  • 110# Neenah Crest Solar White Cardstock, cut to 4.25 x 11 inches to make a top-folding A2-size card that is 4.25 x 5.50 inches when finished.

  • Authentique 6 x 6 Bundle Collection: Colorful Christmas

Angled Panels

  • Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Die
  • Die Cutting Machine – I use a Cuttlebug.
  • Bazzill Christmas Green Heavy Cardstock
  • 80# Neenah Crest Solar White Cardstock

NOTE:  The two panels are the same size.

  • Simon Says Stamp Circles for the Holidays Stamp Set
  • Martha Stewart Snowflake Stamp Set
  • MISTI Stamping Tool
  • Simon Says Stamp Ink Pad, Teal
  • Simon Says Stamp Ink Pad, Lake Shores
  • Hero Arts Ink Pad, Mint Julep

Stamp the snowflake again on white cardstock.  Cut it out with a circle cutter.  I use Creative Memories Cutting System for Circles.

  • Lawn Fawn Cord – Wrap around white panel three times.  Secure with Scotch Tape on the back.
  • Scrapbook Adhesives E-Z Runner Permanent Tape – Adhere layers together.
  • Foam Adhesive Dots – Attach snowflake circle with these.
  • Nuvo Crystal Drops, Woodland Green
  • Ranger Stickles, Stardust (applied to the star on the tree top)

I tried to make this simple.  It would not be difficult to make several of these cards at once.  Red and white would be good colors to use on this sample.  Why don’t you give it a try?  I think I will.
