Trick or Treat Birthday Party

Hello Everyone,

I have another Halloween birthday card here for you.  If you don’t need the birthday sentiment on there, just drop the “birthday party” words and say, “Trick or Treat!”  I tried to keep the card light and not go into too much detail, which is not easy for me to do.

These are Tim Holtz Mini “Crazy” Birds.  I showed my husband the card, and he thought the green bird was a rabbit dressed up in a bird costume.  Ha!  I can see that!  Whatever floats your boat!

The stamp and die set for the birds is

Stamped images are on Bristol paper from Michael’s art department.  They were stamped with a Versafine Black Ink Pad from Michael’s, using a MISTI Stamp Tool.  The images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  The birds were die cut with a Cuttlebug Die-Cut and Emboss Machine from Provocraft.  I don’t have dies for the Crazy Things, but they are available.  I cut those out with scissors.  I went around the edges of the images with a Momento Black Marker I bought at Simon Says Stamp.

The front card panel was die cut with a die from Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Die Set on Simon Says Stamp Kraft Cardstock.  The words from Crazy Things Stamp Set were stamped on a MISTI using a Versafine Black Ink Ink Pad.  I lined the words up and stamped them diagonally.

The 65# orange cardstock backing the Kraft cardstock panel and the printed panel was purchased from Michael’s

The printed cardstock is Authentique Tricky 12 x 12 inch paper pad purchased from Simon Says Stamp.

The inks for the sentiments are Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads, Wilted Violet and Carved Pumpkin.  The words “birthday” and “party” are from my first stamp set with no manufacturer name.  It’s from way back when!  The cardstock is 80# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White.

The card base is 100# Simon Says Stamp Kraft Cardstock, cut to 8.5 x 11 inches and folded in half to make an A2 size card.

The layers are adhered with Scrapbook Adhesives E-Z Runner.  The images are glued on with Ranger Multi Medium Matte Glue.  A piece of thread is adhered to the balloon and bird.

I went over the Crazy Things images (but not the birds) with Zig Wink of Stellar Clear Glitter Brush Tip Marker .

The confetti is made of Nuvo Crystal Drops in various colors.

Thanks for taking a look,
