For me January is a big month for birthdays. Here’s a card I made for my mom who will be 89 years old on January 10th. My mom has been such a strong influence in my life.
She speaks the word, “stability.” She knows who she is, what she believes, and she does what she says she will do. She is ever faithful and true. I look back and think of how she made the holidays so full and fun for our family. It is because of Mommy being an example to me that my daughter had wonderful childhood holidays. And now because of my example to Angie, our granddaughter, Kassidy, has wonderful holidays. What you do in life follows you most of the time.
I’m being lazy and not doing a step-by-step tutorial for this one. If you want to know anything I did or the supplies I used on this 5.5 x 5.5 inch card, I’m here, just let me know. I wish you could see the glimmer on the snowflakes made with Arleene’s Glitter Snow. This is the first time I used Echo Park Snowflake Magic 6 x 6 Stencil, and I love it! The glitter on the Simon Says Stamp Eliza Snowflake Die cut is Tim Holtz Distress Stickles Dry Glitter, Clear Rock Candy. It dazzels! And of course, the plaid paper is from none other than Lawn Fawn.
In reality, the white on this card is very white. One of my white light lamps blew when our electricity was off for three days due to snow. I had the lamp turned on with a generator. We don’t know why the bulb strip blew. My husband bought a new bulb strip for it, but the lamp still doesn’t work. Something else he has to fix. A handyman is nice to have around.
Here’s the inside of the card.
In you’re in the northern hemisphere, stay warm! It’s so cold here in the south, the state of Georgia to be exact. It was 16 degrees last night!
